Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia's interests will be threatened if NATO is expanded at the expense of Ukraine, RIA Novosti writes.
"The Russian Federation will ensure its security, which does not include Ukraine's possible membership in NATO," Peskov said.
Putin's spokesman assessed Kiev's calls for Ukraine to join NATO as "unwillingness and unwillingness to sit down at the negotiating table."
