The regional Governor of Syrdarya has recently announced that the region will commence car production by the end of May.
As per a report by Kun.uz, the essential machinery required for a car manufacturing plant under the Exeed brand from China has already arrived in the region. Governor Akmaljon Mahmudaliev of Syrdarya confirmed this news during a business forum held in Xi'an, China, attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev as part of his state visit to China.
During the forum, Governor Mahmudaliev expressed his vision of making the region an innovative area with technology parks in every district and city.
The growing partnership between China and the Syrdarya region has resulted in an increase in the value of projects from $520mn to $1.5bn.
Regarding car production, Governor Mahmudaliev stated that the work has already commenced, and Exeed brand cars will be produced in Syrdarya by late May.
