Ukraine has received approximately $17bn in financial aid from foreign partners since the start of 2023, the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance informs.
In less than five months, the state budget of Ukraine has been financed with a total of $23 billion, including $6.1bn obtained through domestic government bond placements.
Among the foreign partners, the European Union provided $6.5bn, the United States $4.75bn, the International Monetary Fund $2.7bn, and Canada $1.75bn. Other contributors include the World Bank with $505mn, Great Britain with $498mn, Germany with $52mn, and Spain with $50mn.
It is worth noting that the damage caused to Ukraine due to the conflict amounts to $700bn, and the attacks on the country's infrastructure have further doubled that figure.
In the near future, Ukraine plans to initiate the restoration process using funds seized from Russian banks, amounting to $462.5mn in a designated account.
