Hikmet Eren, the Chairman of the Board of Eurasian Economic Relations Association (EkoAvrasya), in his interview with Dunyo, pertained to the speech delivered by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during the 32nd Annual Meeting of the EBRD Board of Governors in Samarkand.
Hikmet Eren has expressed his commendation for the progressive economic policy implemented by the President, which has resulted in the rapid advancement of Uzbekistan's relationship with EBRD, previously stagnant for a prolonged period. In particular, Eren lauds the implementation of a system to safeguard entrepreneurs' interests and eliminate customs duties on over 7,000 types of raw materials and goods.
Moreover, the liberalization of the currency market and the removal of barriers to foreign markets are equally praiseworthy. Finally, Eren postulated that the President's broad delineation of collaborative areas with EBRD would serve as a roadmap and a robust incentive for Uzbekistan and the entire Central Asian region's prosperity.
