State Assets Management Agency has announced a competition for a consultant to assist in privatizing JSC "Foton." With a significant package of 85.6% of the company's shares available, the consultant will analyze the asset's current state and propose strategies to improve its attractiveness to potential investors, media reports.
The interested individual will also create marketing materials and assess the range of asset values. The agency encourages individual companies and consortiums to apply before the deadline of May 31 at 6 PM Tashkent time by submitting their application via email to tender@davaktiv.uz along with evidence of sufficient competency and experience in supporting similar transactions.

Foton has a rich history dating back to 1941, when it was founded on the basis of an evacuated plant from the Moscow region. Fast forward to 1995, the enterprise was transformed into JSC and is now included in the holding of Uzeltekhsanoat.
Today, the plant is a leading producer of chips for radio-electronic equipment and electrical products. It also manufactures cash registers and Panda TVs.
With 296 talented, qualified individuals, the Foton plant significantly contributes to the industry. Its charter fund of UZS1.08bn is a testament to its success and growth over the years.
