Uzbekistan and Columbia University, where 104 Nobel Prize winners were educated, have formed a collaboration, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
Minister Amrillo Inoyatov, who is now on an official visit to the United States, spoke with Columbia University's administration in New York. The university has a nearly 270-year heritage and is often regarded as the most prominent research institution in the United States.
During the talks, deals were reached for mutually beneficial collaboration in four areas: healthcare, management, nursing, and dentistry with all medical colleges and universities in Uzbekistan, notably with the Tashkent State Dental Institute.
The group from Uzbekistan reviewed the opportunities for implementing scientific funding projects in dentistry, establishing residency and doctoral studies in this subject, ensuring the academic exchange of exceptional students, and improving the expertise of instructors.
