From May 6-8, the III international scientific-practical conference ‘Zamonaviy baxshichilik san‘ati: oltin merosning yangi ohanglari’ (Modern bakhshi singing: new tones of the golden heritage" gathered the specialists from more than 30 countries in Syrdarya region. "Daryo" correspondent reports.
The representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Hungary, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and local folklore scientists participated with their scientific and theoretical articles related to this ancient music playing style which could withstand the test of time.
Ilhom Norov (Uzbekistan) snatched the Grand Prix of the III International Festival and received a cash prize of $7,000.
Sariyev Garyagdi (Turkmenistan), Salamat Ayapov (Uzbekistan), Sandan Ares (Russia), Risbay Isakov (Kyrgyzstan) were awarded the 1st place. Each winner received a cash prize of $2,500.
Rasulbek Abdurahmanov (Uzbekistan), Nugzar Kavtaradze (Georgia), Sarvar Sabri Kamal (India), Yaroslav Dmitrov Hristov (Bulgaria) became the runners-up. ($1,750 each).
Dilmurod Gulmurodov (Uzbekistan), Serik Jaksiqulov (Kazakhstan), Erdane Wat Yesun (Mongolia), Shin Ja Sun (South Korea) were awarded the 3rd place. ($1,250).
