Two cases of fraud with the sale of air tickets by the regional airline Silk Avia have been recorded over the past few days, Uzbekistan Airports telegram channel reports. The airline representatives urged passengers to purchase tickets at the company's official website or at designated airport ticket offices.
One of the fraud cases happened on May 2 in Tashkent. A woman approached the check-in counter of the local airlines terminal and handed the agent a document that, according to her, was an air ticket for the Tashkent-Termez flight.
However, the document turned out to be just a printout of the reservation for this flight. The woman claimed that such a “ticket” was sold to her at one of the ticket offices in the city. After calling the air ticket office, the money was returned, and the passenger bought an air ticket at the airport ticket office and flew to Termez.
"We remind you that tickets for flights of the Silk Avia regional airline can only be purchased at airport ticket offices or online on the official website of the company www.silk-avia.com. When buying tickets online, make sure that your personal information is correct," said the statement via Uzbekistan Airports.
