MIA of Tashkent reacted to the video message circulating on social networks regarding the death of a 3-year-old girl.
According to the source, on April 25, 27-year-old D.U. informed police that she gave her underage child, S.U., born in 2020, to her classmate Sh.N. to babysit, but the child died in her apartment.
During the investigation, Sh.N. said that the little girl fell down the stairs to the basement on April 24, but she did not tell her mother because she got up and went back to play. Sh.N. also did not turn to doctors to provide medical assistance. On April 25 at 10:00 local time, S.U. collapsed and died by the time paramedics arrived.
A forensic medical examination was appointed in order to determine the cause of death of the deceased.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated by the Internal Affairs Body of Sergeli district under Article 117 of the Criminal Code (endangerment). Suspect Sh.N. was detained in a procedural order. The investigation is ongoing.
An 8th-grade student died in school 110 in the Mirabad district of Tashkent on April 11. A review of the school's surveillance camera footage revealed that there was no fight or disagreement at the scene. A 21-year-old man died in a sports club in Yangiyol, Tashkent region on April 12.
