The presidential decision "On urgent measures to increase the efficiency of water resources use" was adopted. Huquqiy axborot Telegram channel reports.
According to the presidential decision "On urgent measures to increase the efficiency of water resources use", from April 1, 2023, the following procedure for state support for the introduction of water-saving technologies in the agricultural sector is stipulated:
- For up to 2.5 billion soums of bank loans, a guarantee letter of the State Fund for Support of Entrepreneurial Activities is provided;
- compensation from the Fund is provided to cover part of the interest rate which is not more than 30% of the main rate;
Until March 1, 2024, a pilot project will be implemented in the Kasbi district of Kashkadarya region to digitize the management of all water access points and deliver water to users.
An online ‘Water account’ allows the correspondence of documents between water supply organizations and consumers at the end of each month by confirming with digital signatures.
From January 1, 2025, the following procedure will be introduced:
Until August 2023, farmers who used water-saving technologies in 2022 and received 50% of the subsidy funds will be allocated the remaining 50% of the amount of the subsidy determined based on the use of the systems based on the conclusion of the district working group.
