Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov talked with Director of Mareven Food Holdings Trong Duong Nguyen to discuss the project to create a large plant for producing fast food, alcohol, dried vegetables, and chips worth $125mn, Dunyo reports. The project is set to be implemented in the Angren free economic zone in the Tashkent region and to create 800 new jobs.
The Vietnamese partners also unveiled the current status of organizing the logistics hub in the Tashkent region for the reception and distribution of the company’s products to the markets of Uzbekistan and the countries of Central Asia. In addition, the Uzbek side expressed its readiness to assist in implementing the company’s investment initiatives in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the parties developed a format for further cooperation to successfully implement projects, intending to launch production and logistics facilities of Mareven Food Holdings in Uzbekistan and create new jobs.
