Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent on March 17 hosted a meeting with James Alan Robinson, a British economist, and political scientist, who co-authored the 'Causes of the decline of countries: sources of power, prosperity and poverty' book, Daryo reports.
Reportedly, the event was attended by local economists Behzod Hoshimov, a doctoral student at Wisconsin University, author of the Economist's Diary blog, and Botir Qabilov, a doctoral student of Harvard University, author of the Uzbekonomics blog.
In addition, economists, bloggers, public activists, students, and readers also participated in the event.
