Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan shared 93rd place on the Global Terrorism Index 2023, making them the least dangerous countries in Central Asia.
The report was compiled by the Institute for Economics & Peace (IPE, Australia).
Uzbekistan was ranked 70th in the world ranking, while Tajikistan was 50th. Afghanistan was named the most dangerous country in the world, with three Central Asian countries - Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan - bordering it.
The Global Terrorism Index is a comprehensive study that analyses the impact of terrorism in 163 countries, covering 99.7% of the world's population.
