Uzbekistan's State Statistics Committee has reported that 13,161 enterprises with foreign capital are operating in the Central Asian republic as of March 1.
The largest number of enterprises with foreign investments, as before, falls on Russia, as some 2,835 new companies with Russian investment are operating in Uzbekistan nowadays; this is 487 more than a year ago, and 316 less than in January.
In 2022, Russian investors established 967 companies in Uzbekistan. The first spike in their activity was in March-April, followed by a relative lull in the summer. By the end of the year, the second wave had started, reaching a peak of 125 enterprises in December.
Türkiye ranks second with 1806 joint and subsidiary companies.
Chinese capital remained the third most active in the country with 1,763 companies - 341 fewer than a month ago. Next is Kazakhstan, which accounted for 988 firms (-239), and South Korea - 748 enterprises (-155).
