North Korea launched another round of ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan, NHK reports citing the Japanese Ministry of Defense.
The missile fell outside Japan's economic zone, 550 km east of the Korean peninsula.
This is the fourth missile launch by the DPRK in four days. North Korea launched two medium-range ballistic missiles on the night of March 15.
North Korean military launched two cruise missiles from a submarine on the night of March 13 and on the morning of March 14, it launched two short-range ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan.
The test of North Korean missiles is being carried out in the line of joint exercises between Seoul and Washington, which began on March 13. Pyongyang assessed the joint exercises as "preparation for an aggressive war" against it.
In early March, the North Korean leader's sister, Kim Yo-jong, said that Pyongyang would consider it a declaration of war if the United States tries to shoot down an intercontinental ballistic missile it tests in the Pacific Ocean. Also, Kim Son-Geun, North Korea's deputy foreign minister for international organizations, called on the UN to demand that the United States and South Korea stop joint military exercises.
