Russia currently does not see the possibility of negotiations with Ukraine due to the position of Kyiv, reports "TASS" citing Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"We are not walking away from negotiations because we asked for negotiations. We do not see an opportunity for this process now, but we emphasize this against the background of the continuous wave of statements that Russia does not want to negotiate. Has anyone read what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said? Does anyone remember when they signed a no-negotiation order in September?" Lavrov said.
At the same time, the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) reminded Zelensky's words that he will never sit down at the negotiating table with the Russian leader, Vladimir Putin.
"The director of the US Central Intelligence Agency, Bill Burns, said yesterday that for some reason Russia is not interested in a peaceful solution to the situation, but is it clear what the Ukrainian leader is interested in? Zelensky said that he and Bill Berns will never sit down at the same time at the negotiating table with Putin. Zelensky will solve the future of his country together with his allies," the diplomat said.
