Bekzod Shukurov was appointed as the press secretary of the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, UzA reports.
Prior to his appointment, he worked as the head of the Department of Public Communications and Information Openness of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Mass Communications.
Shukurov majored in Journalism at the National University of Uzbekistan. From 2002-2014, he worked as a reporter, department head, and deputy editor-in-chief of "The Voice of Uzbekistan" newspaper. From 2014-2018, he was the editor-in-chief of the "Jamiyat" newspaper.
In 2011, Shukurov was the winner of the international competition for the Golden Pen national award. In 2017, he was recognized as the best publicist of the year in the national competition "E'tirof".
