By the decision of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a number of measures have been established in order to meet the growing demand of electricity consumers in the city of Tashkent, UzA informs.
The Ministry of Energy is establishing two plants in cooperation with two foreign companies.
- With the participation of ACWA Power (Saudi Arabia), the capacities of the first stage of the project to build a solar photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 400 MW in the territory of "Uzsuvtaminot" JSC in Ukur Chirchik district of Tashkent region;
- With the participation of China Gezhouba Group Investment Company Co., Ltd (China), proposals for commissioning the first stage of the project to build a solar photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 700 MW has begun in the Upper Chirchik district of Tashkent region
Earlier, the Board of Executive Directors of the World Bank approved financing in the amount of $12 mn for the implementation of the project "Expansion of solar energy in Uzbekistan-2".
