The Biennale, which was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, lasted from January 23 to April 23 and the main topic was "Awwal Bayt", which means "the first house". Saida Mirziyoyeva, the Head of the Communications and Information Policy Branch of the Executive Office of the Presidential Administration, shared her thoughts about it on her Telegram channel.
"In January of this year, the first Biennale of Islamic art was held in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), where the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art presented to Uzbekistan a unique collection of museum exhibits, ethnography, and textiles.
The Fund also prepared an extensive public program focused on the intangible cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
Such events are an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the rich culture of our country to foreign audiences." - she said in her post.
