Uzbekistan and the European Union have confirmed that they are ready to take joint measures to sign an agreement on expanded partnership and cooperation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received Teri Hakala, the special representative of the European Union for Central Asia, on March 9, who came to Tashkent to participate in the EU-Central Asia civil society forum.
The results of bilateral and interregional events held at the highest and most prominent positions in 2022 were discussed at the meeting. Prospects for further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU in all areas were considered as well.
The parties confirmed that they are ready to take joint measures to sign an agreement on expanded partnership and cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union as soon as possible.
The EU-Central Asia format forum will be held in Tashkent on March 10.
