Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the decision "On additional measures to further support the activities of cotton raw material growers".
According to the order:
- it is strictly forbidden to interfere in the activities of cotton-textile clusters by local authorities, to invite their founders to meetings and other events, to influence their relations with farmers;
- cotton-textile clusters are prohibited from imposing additional obligations in addition to the obligations received within the framework of the quadripartite agreement.
- Every year from the 2023 harvest to October 1, cotton-textile clusters will conclude futures contracts with farms on cotton production for the next year's harvest (until February 1, 2023).
Also from 2023:
- 30% of the cost will be reimbursed to the manufacturers of agricultural products who bought automated land levelling units with a laser device imported from abroad and manufactured in the republic;
- up to 50% of the electricity costs used for pumping cotton-growing areas will be covered.
- Until January 1, 2025, a "zero" rate of customs duty will be applied to some mineral fertilizers imported.
