An air-gas mixture flash occurred in one of the apartments on the top floor of a 4-story building in Temir jol mahalla in Nukus city of Karakalpakstan on January 29.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that a kinetic strike partially damaged some building structures. Rescuers pulled out an injured 5-year-old girl trapped under the rubble. The girl was then sent to the hospital for qualified medical care. Besides, the corpse of a citizen was found among the building constructions.
Reportedly, the rescue team detected the bodies of four people. The total death toll reached five.
Earlier media reported that two people injured during this explosion were admitted to the hospital.
