Media reports that 2,322 foreigners moved to Uzbekistan for permanent residence last year.
The arrivals figure is shaped using special coupons designed for statistical purposes and compiled by the internal affairs bodies when recording the population at the residence, Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee said in a statement.
Reportedly, Russian nationals topped the list in 2022 (813 people), followed by Kazakhstan (761), Tajikistan (156), closing the top three, and Kyrgyzstan, occupying the fourth place (111).
