The Board of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan being held in Tashkent has decided to keep the main rate at 15% per annum which remains unchanged from July 21, 2022.
At the beginning of 2018, the annual rate was confirmed as 14 percent. In 2019, this rate increased to 16 percent. In March 2020, the base rate was left unchanged and set at 16 percent.
By the decision of the Central Bank Board on April 14, 2020, the main rate was reduced by 1% and set at the annual level of 15%.
On March 17, 2022, at the meeting of the Central Bank, it was decided to increase the key rate and set it at 17 percent.
On June 9, 2022, the Central Bank lowered the key rate by 1% to 16%.
