The foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in 2022 has exceeded 50 billion dollars. It became known from the report of the State Statistics Agency reports.
Last year, foreign trade turnover in the country amounted to 50.008 billion dollars. Compared to 2021, it increased by 7.8 billion dollars or 18.6%.
In foreign trade, the export volume reached 19.3 billion dollars (+15.9%) and the import volume reached 30.7 billion dollars (+20.4%). A passive foreign trade balance of $11.4 billion was recorded during the year.
In 2022, Russia sits pretty well on top of the traders’ list with a total of 9.3 billion dollars. The next place belongs to China with 8.9 billion dollars. Kazakhstan is still in third place in the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan (4.6 billion dollars).
Among the 20 major partner countries in terms of foreign economic activity, three countries have an active foreign trade balance. These are Afghanistan, Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan. A passive foreign trade balance with the remaining 17 countries remains.
