Japan and Uzbekistan unveiled plans to hold cinema days. This was announced following a meeting between representatives of the Uzbek Film Agency and the Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of Japan Takashi Hatori, the agency reports. Japanese film days are scheduled for March this year.
The meeting also discussed cooperation in the production of joint projects, in particular, the full-length feature film Aroma of Sakura directed by Akbar Bekturdiyev, known for Oyqiz ertagi (2016), So'nggi lahza (2009) and Behind the Peace (2018) and the participation of the Japanese delegation in the XV Tashkent International Film Festival.
The delegation of Japan participated in the XIV Tashkent Film Festival held in 2022. Then Uzbekistan visited the famous director and actor Takeshi Kitano.
