Mehriddin Khairiddinov was released from the post of adviser to the prime minister - head of the department for protection and support of the rights of citizens of Uzbekistan who are temporarily working abroad.
He had been appointed to the position on August 17, 2020, before working as a consul general at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow. Komil Rashidov has been holding the position of advisor to the Prime Minister since August 2019.
Mehriddin Khairiddinov was born in 1977 in Bukhara region. He graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in 1999. He was a leading specialist in the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade in 2008-2010, 1st Secretary of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan in 2010-2014, Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in 2014-2017 worked in positions, and then in 2017-2018 he was the general consul of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg.
