Acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, on Thursday (January 19), held a phone conversation with Qin Gang, appointed Foreign Minister of China on December 30, 2022.
The two ministers agreed that the two countries joint efforts have contributed to the strengthening of multifaceted bilateral relations.
According to China Daily, Foreign Minister Qin Gang said under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Uzbekistan relations have entered a fast lane of development.
'China is ready to join hands with Uzbekistan to implement well the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and push for more achievements in all-round and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries,' Foreign Minister noted.
For his part, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov expressed his readiness to make joint efforts with Qin to consolidate the two countries' friendship and push for new achievements in cooperation in various fields.
There is an active dialogue through parliaments, governments, the MFA, and line ministries.
The two sides stressed the similarity of the positions of Uzbekistan and China on international and regional security issues. Furthermore, the readiness of the parties to continue close cooperation within the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and other organizations have been confirmed.
The telephone conversation between the Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and China was held in an open, warm, and friendly atmosphere. It was agreed to maintain working contacts to further develop the Uzbek-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership.
