On January 13, President Mirziyoyev’s motorcade arrived at the Central Military Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense to inspect the new hospital which boasts 27 departments with 700 berths, 11 medical supply and diagnostic departments, and 15 supply services.
The medical institution employs 166 doctors, 421 secondary medical staff (nurses, laboratory assistants, radiographers), and 115 junior medical staff.
According to the President's decision of October 22, 2020, the Military Medical Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established near the Central Military Clinical Hospital.
The educational building houses 2 faculties, 5 departments, 2 centres, institutes and an administration site that can accommodate up to 250 students.
“The building and facilities are good, but this is just the beginning. Now, it is necessary to create a pedagogical, scientific and practical system based on foreign experience," Shavkat Mirziyoyev urged.
The state leader also ordered the introduction of foreign management system in the academy and send the first graduates to Turkey and South Korea for training.
