The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was awarded the highest decoration of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan – the Order of "An-Nahda" ("Supreme Order of the Renaissance").

The award was personally presented by King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein, who is currently on a state visit to Uzbekistan, the presidential press service reported.
“I accept this award with great pleasure as a worthy recognition of our joint efforts to expand multifaceted cooperation, as well as an expression of friendship and respect for the people of Uzbekistan, who are creating the foundations of the Third Renaissance in our country,” President Mirziyoyev said.

He emphasized that the prestigious award would take its rightful place as a symbol of the strong friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Jordan.
The historic visit of the King of Jordan and the resulting negotiations have elevated bilateral relations to a new level of partnership. The leaders agreed to comprehensively develop cooperation across political, trade-economic, investment, transport, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
