JSC National Power Grid of Uzbekistan and Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) inked a contract for electricity supply in 2023.

‘We signed an agreement on the purchase of electricity from Uzbekistan,’ the company announced.
From Uzbekistan’s side, the document was inked by the Board Chairman of JSC National Power Grid of Uzbekistan Dadajon Isakulov.
According to TKG, Abdul-Latif Mansur, acting head of the Ministry of Water and Energy of Afghanistan recently paid a visit to Uzbekistan. He informed Bakhtar News that the debt to be repaid is about $35mn.
DABS is a Limited Liability Company with all its equity shares owned by the Afghan government. DABS manages commercial electric power generation, import, transmission, and distribution throughout Afghanistan.
