The management of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan (CBU) analyzed the activity of the Bank Control Committee in 2022 which is in charge of the banking system efficiency.
The committee held 88 meetings studying 218 issues related to the authorization procedure and 82 related to the financial condition of credit organizations.
Due to the non-compliance with the regulations, the lack of reserves against financial losses, and insolvency the CBU revoked the licenses of Turkistonbank and Hi-Tech Banks.
Licenses were revoked from 3 ("International Eco Pay", "Panda internet technology", "Ugnis") payment organizations because of inactivity within the deadlines set by the legislation.
The committee pledges to focus on issues such as maintaining the stability of the banking system, protecting the interests of depositors and creditors, and further improving the legal basis of regulation and control of the banking system in accordance with international standards.
