Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khojaev, on Tuesday (December 27), held talks with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif.
The parties discussed the implementation process of the agreements reached during the bilateral meeting of the two Heads of State within the framework of the SCO Summit in Samarkand and prospects for the development of cooperation in the trade and economic, investment, industrial, as well as scientific and technical spheres.
Particular attention was drawn to the consistent surge of bilateral trade turnover that has increased five-fold since 2016. This progress is greatly facilitated by the agreement on transit trade inked in March this year. Besides, the two countries discuss increasing trade turnover to $1bn in upcoming years.
