On December 26, Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the informal meeting of the leaders of the CIS member states, which was held at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg. This was reported by the press service of the president.
President of Azerbaijan Ilhom Aliyev, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadir Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan recapitulated the results of joint activities in 2022 and discussed priorities for the upcoming year.
The state leaders touched upon a full-fledged free trade zone and strengthening of interdependence in terms of the CIS transport system which aims at unifying efforts to implement national programs and strategies in ensuring food, energy and environmental security.
In 2022, Uzbekistan's trade with the Commonwealth of Nations countries will increase by a third, establishing more than 1,000 joint ventures.
