The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade on Wednesday (December 14) held a meeting of Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime-Minister for Investments and Foreign Economic Affairs - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan with Ömer Bulut, serving as the head of Turkey’s Toplu Konut İdaresi Başkanlığı (TOKİ), Turkey's housing agency.
At the meeting, the representatives of Uzbekistan’s governmental bodies said that the republic appreciates the agency’s activities on the construction of affordable social housing for the population of Turkey and expresses interest in the field of housing construction with the use of advanced Turkish technologies.
In his turn, Ömer Bulut noted that the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan have created favorable conditions for investors and expressed his readiness to continue cooperation in the implementation of joint projects by providing technical support and advisory assistance, including in the development of Uzbekistan’s strategy of creation of social houses for the next five years with the help of the joint working group that is set to be established in the near future.
Established in 1984, TOKİ carries out projects and activities primarily throughout Turkey in line with the government building and mass housing priorities.
