President Mirziyoyev congratulated the Uzbek people on the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the president.
The head of the state underscored the role and importance of the constitution in national development, which is a solid legal foundation for the establishment of a legal-democratic state and a free civil society, chosen by the will of the people.
“In the first years of our independence, due to the rights and opportunities given by our Constitution, which was adopted in extremely difficult circumstances, we managed to achieve great results in all spheres and branches of our life.
The most important thing is that the thinking of our people and the worldview are fundamentally changing. Every citizen living in our country, regardless of nationality, language and religion, is a member of our society with equal rights, the true owner of his own destiny, he is not only involved in all changes and updates in our country but also a direct participant in these processes, free and feels as a creative person.
Therefore, it is certainly worth being proud of our Constitution, which is a high example of the political and legal thinking of our people, a legal guarantee of human rights and freedoms, and which has opened the way for us to build a free and prosperous life,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan said.
