The Acting Governor of the Syrdarya region has held talks with Ahmet Cengiz, CEO of Turkey-based Cengiz Enerji. In his speech, Ahmet Cengiz noted that the construction project of a gas-piston power station with a capacity of 220 MW in the Khovos district was successful and will be put into full operation by the end of December.
The head of the company also stated that another large project for the construction of a gas-piston power plant with a capacity of 450 MW worth $300mn dollars is being implemented. It was also announced that up to 900 local workers will be involved in the construction process. Besides, since its start, the project is to create over 100 permanent jobs.
