On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Constitution, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has initiated a pardon act, media reports citing Sherzod Shermatov, press secretary of the Head of State. Sherzod Shermatov added, that 400 convicts will be pardoned at once under the corresponding decree that is to be published today.
The President’s spokesman added that Shavkat Mirziyoyev is to address a congratulatory message to the people of Uzbekistan. The national TV channels will broadcast a concert organized to celebrate the anniversary of the republic’s constitution.
