In 2022, the raw cotton harvest in Uzbekistan reached 3.51mn tons, with an average yield of 34 hr/ha. According to the media citing the country's Ministry of Agriculture, the sowing area of cotton amounted to 1.32mn hectares.
More than 90% of raw cotton was sold in high grades and classes (Class 1, Class 1, and Class 2). In addition, high yields serve to increase the source of raw materials for clusters for processing, the Ministry of Agriculture stressed.
