The online broadcast of the court hearing the case of those accused of the Nukus events has been suspended. This was caused by the request of the prosecutor.
It is noted that online transmission has been suspended until the negotiation process.
“During the hearings held on Friday, December 2, the prosecutor appealed to the judge to stop the live broadcast referring to the Article 432 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Uzbekistan that says that witnesses should not listen to each other's testimony,” Independent Commission_uz Telegram channel tweets.
On November 28, 2022, the Trial Panel of the Court of Karakalpakstan began to hear the case on the Nukus incident in the Bukhara Regional Court. The press service of the Supreme Court introduced the summary of the indictment read out by the public prosecutor and uttered the names of the detainees where Dauletmurad Tajimuratov is the main suspect accused of incitement and call for secession.
Journalist Lolagul Kallikhanova added that she knew that people would rise up because of her calls, but she did not think that there would be a war at this level and fully confessed her guilt.
