In Uzbekistan, influenza and acute respiratory infections are detected as a mixed infection with the coronavirus among people who have not been vaccinated and have chronic diseases, Nurmat Otabekov, deputy head of the sanitary-epidemiological peace and public health service, informed about this at a briefing.
According to the report, the number of hospitalized patients in the last 7 days reached 482, 358 were discharged, 2,310 were quarantined, and 1,306 were released from quarantine.
Currently, there are 539 patients in hospitals with COVID-19, and 187 are being treated at home.
Age-by-age analysis of diseases registered in the last 14 days:
- 0-14 years old - 12.5 %;
- 15-19-year-olds — 2.1 %;
- 20-29-year-olds — 37.5 %;
- 30-39-year-olds — 15.6 %;
- 40-49-year-olds — 11.5 %;
- 50-59-year-olds — 9.3 %;
- 60 years old and older — 11.5 %.
The Stealth-Omicron BA.5 variant of the omicron strain was detected in 100 percent of the latest analyzes of the virus genome study (sequencing) in Uzbekistan.
