A cultural heritage object was discovered in the Hokim Ota Sulayman Bakirgani mausoleum territory, located in the Moynaq district of Karakalpakstan. The General Prosecutor's Office issued the statement.
An archaeological expedition conducted by a group of scientists and students of the "Archaeology" department of Karakalpak State University named after Berdak discovered a cultural heritage object dating back to the 12th-14th centuries.
Scientists believe that the wall bricks and metal objects belong to the period of the Khwarazmian dynasty and the Golden Horde, namely, the period when Suleiman Bakirghani ruled.
In order to protect the current state of the object from natural and physical influences, to create comfortable conditions for pilgrims and tourists, as well as to deliver the monument to the next generation in its entirety, the construction of a light construction metal cover has begun.
Construction works are slated to be completed in December of this year.
