According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, an exchange notes and a grant agreement signed with the Japanese government on the project "Preservation and digitization of archives of the Great Silk Road cultural heritage in the Republic of Uzbekistan», worth about 400,000 dollars, envisages implementing Japan's experience in preserving objects and objects of cultural heritage.
The ongoing project aims to help preserve the unique cultural treasures found along the Silk Road, increase the efficiency of their protection, and make a significant contribution to the development of Uzbekistan's culture, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
Within the framework of the project, the Cultural Heritage Agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the State History Museum of Uzbekistan and the Termiz Archaeological Museum will receive equipment for the preservation of collections and exhibits, as well as the necessary equipment for digital archiving, including 3D scanners, 360-degree cameras and other equipment.
