The head of state gave instructions about this a week ago at a meeting on preparation for the autumn-winter season. On October 31, President Mirziyoyev was presented with proposals on the effective use of energy resources.
The officials proposed ways the natural gas and electricity reduction by 10% by modernizing work processes in industrial enterprises, modernization of energy production technology, renewing and repair of boiler houses, and renewable energy sources.
The effectiveness of these methods is becoming popular in Uzbekistan. For example, 50,000 kilowatt-hours or 14 per cent of electricity is saved in one week due to the rational use of street lighting systems in the Namangan and Syrdarya regions.
Therefore, officials were tasked to come up with more ideas for energy saving by studying each region.
Tasks have been set to strengthen the powers of the Control Inspection in Electric Power and the Control Inspection of Oil Products and Gas Use under the Ministry of Energy and to take effective measures against illegal situations
