Starting from October 31, 2022, the diesel fuel cost in Uzbekistan will decline, the press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC has informed.
The statement says that the initial price of one ton of synthetic fuel will drop to UZS 12,998,420 (≈$1162.60) due to the increase in production at the Uzbekistan GTL plant.
The plant produces an average of 1,500 tons of synthetic diesel fuel daily. In November, taking into account the commissioning of the plant's second stage, the fuel production volume would increase to an average of 3,000 tons per day.
The giant Uzbekistan GTL plant in the Kashkadarya region opened in late 2021.
Russian agencies financed the project, including JSC Gazprombank, JSC Roseximbank, and the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR).
The total cost of the Uzbekistan GTL plant amounted to $3.42bn.
