According to the expert of "Xabar.uz" who contacted the Central Bank to clarify this information, the purchase and sale of foreign currency by individuals through commercial banks, as well as the implementation of money transfers, are carried out without restrictions at the moment.
No restrictions have been set by the Central Bank. If our citizens have discovered such facts in banks, they can ask the administration of that bank for an explanation. Our experts said that there was no such instruction from our side, - said Akmal Nazarov, press secretary of the Central Bank.
He said that banks are independent in organizing their activities.
The temporary shortage of foreign currency in cash may be related to the logistics of sending cash to remote branches of banks, - says Akmal Nazarov.
