On July 21, 2022, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan has made a decision to reduce the bank rate by 1%.
On June 9, 2022, the Central Bank lowered the key rate to 16 percent.
At the beginning of 2018, the annual rate was confirmed at 14 percent before going up to 16 percent in 2019 which remained unchanged for a year.
However, on April 14, 2020, the main rate was reduced by 1% and set at the annual level of 15%.
In June, there were reports that the Central Bank would lower the key rate, but on June 11, a decision was made on the key rate and it was left unchanged at 15 percent.
On September 10, 2020, the management of the Central Bank reduced the key rate by 1% to 14%.
On March 17, 2022, at the meeting of the Central Bank, it was decided to increase the key rate and set it at 17 percent.
On June 9, 2022, the Central Bank lowered the key rate to 16 percent.
