From July 15, 2022, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan will put into circulation a banknote with a nominal value of 200,000 soums, the Money regulator reports.
The banknote dedicated to the "Great Silk Road" and the ancient history of the Fergana Valley in the country will be 152 x 69 mm in size. On the right side of the banknote, there are watermarks in the form of a camel and the number "200000" as a symbol of the ancient "Great Silk Road" on a light background.
The images are made using the metallographic printing method, and you can feel the bump of the paint when you rub it with your fingertip. Anti-copy rings of different diameters are located on the light background on the right side of the banknote, and when copied, the clarity of the images is lost.
Also, the word "UZB 200,000 SOM" is depicted in red on the green background of the ornament visible under ultraviolet light.
"The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan notes that 200,000 soum banknotes, along with banknotes and coins currently in circulation, are used by all economic entities and residents according to their value. it must be accepted without any restrictions for payments in kind," the message says.
