Shavkat Mirziyoyev drew attention to an increasing attack of radical ideas in his speech at the 6th summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
Uzbek President said that destructive forces are actively recruiting young people to radical organizations using new methods of propaganda and ideological influence. In this regard, Mirziyoyev proposed the establishment of systematic cooperation in order to protect the young generation from radicalism, to direct their energy and enthusiasm towards creativity.
"Our boys and girls should believe in their own strength, feel their participation in deciding a fair future, and have opportunities to realize their potential and hopes in life.
As the co-chairman of the Youth Council of our Majlis, we propose to launch a new format - Dialogue of Generations, which will encourage people of different ages to better understand each other, help to find solutions to the most urgent problems of our children together," the head of state reiterated.
President Mirziyoyev offered to hold the first meeting in Samarkand in April 2023 as part of the Forum of Young Leaders.
