The force of the earthquake that befell Afghanistan on October 11 at 04:23 (Tashkent time) was felt by the residents in Surkhandarya and Fergana regions.
According to the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring of Uzbekistan, the epicenter of the earthquake was 495 kilometres southeast of Tashkent, at a depth of 160 kilometres and had a magnitude of 5.5.
In Uzbekistan, the perceptibility was 2 points in Surkhandarya and Fergana regions.
